The Blackwood Basin Group has been recognised by the WA State Landcare Awards. The BBG received the Fairfax Media Community Group Award, which was announced at the State Landcare Conference Gala Dinner in Mandurah on Tuesday Sept 22nd.
BBG Chair Dr Per Christensen accepted the award on behalf of the organisation and recognised the tireless efforts of the local community, staff and committee members in the on-going management of our natural environment.
The BBG will now represent the State for this Award category in the Australian Landcare Awards finals to be held somewhere in Australia next year!
